Philpots Manor School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Most of our roles involve contact with children and the post holder will be engaging in a regulated activity relevant to children so will require an enhanced DBS with children barred list. The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.  We follow safer recruitment guidelines, including carrying out on-line searches on shortlisted candidates to check suitability to work in an environment with children.

Posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
