Welcome back! – 18/09/25

September 18th, 2025|

We welcomed back our learners after a very busy summer for our Maintenace Team.
The summer holidays give us around six weeks to complete a number of projects which are required to both maintain and improve our growing school.
With 60 learners now on role and a number of additional staff, there was lots to be done!
Over the six weeks, the following major projects were completed:
  • School building roof refurbishment
  • New footpaths
  • Purchase of new laptops for all students
  • Relocation of teachers’ room
  • New fencing
  • New Math classroom
  • Reception roof repairs
  • New maintenance vehicle
With the new fantastic improvements, we are looking forward to the term ahead and seeing what our learners achieve.

Philpots Fashion Show 2025 – 23/07/25

July 23rd, 2025|

For the second year running, our drama teacher Maria and our students worked hard to create some fantastic costumes for our end-of-term fashion show. The costumes included, to name a few, a cheese, a pizza, a cake and a giant fidget toy.

As it was a beautiful day, the show was held just outside our school hall. The show is always a great way to gather everyone together and be able to showcase the creative costume designs.

Two of our upper school students did a great job in hosting the show while the staff paraded the costumes to the audience.

Brickwork Project – 10/07/25

July 10th, 2025|

Please see photos of a brickwork construction that one of our lower school students recently completed.

This was built from scratch across six lessons.

His teacher was extremely proud of his work and said, “He was a superstar.”

Football Training Project – 09/07/25

July 9th, 2025|

One of our lower school students took on a fantastic solo project as part of his horticulture lessons.

The student made a football training aid for free-kick and penalty practice.

The ‘dummy’ is weighted at the base so it is very sturdy and strong. Everything was designed, cut, screwed and painted by the individual.

A huge well done!

Summer Open Day – 08/07/25

July 8th, 2025|

On Friday the 4th July, we held a summer open afternoon for both parents and students.

This gave parents an opportunity to meet 1:1 with their young person’s class teacher and explore the subject classrooms.

The afternoon finished off with some sports activities and, of course, tea and cake!
