On Friday 9th May, West Sussex Fire & Rescue visited us as part of a ‘Careers Event’.

The day started off brilliantly with the fire engine and the firefighters arriving on site. Students were able to explore the fire engine and use the hoses, which they really enjoyed. 

Next, they looked at a bedroom set up, and identified and discussed the fire hazards. 

The morning finished off with a careers talk and presentation led by the firefighters. 

The event gave our students a fantastic opportunity to learn about the different roles within the fire brigade. We really appreciate the fire fighters for taking time out of their busy day to visit us. 

We look forward to seeing them again in the near future!
