Eight upper school learners visited Ullswater in the Lake District for the annual Outward Bound school residential.
Conditions in March can be unpredictable but no one expected the weather to be quite as challenging as it was. Storm-force winds, driving rain, freezing wind chill and groundwater flooding became the normal daytime conditions, but that did not deter our wonderful learners from getting the most out of the experience. They worked together as a brilliant team through a range of activities, such as summiting a mountain, climbing rock faces, rowing across Ullswater, completing a river scramble and even taking a swim in the icy waters.
It was great to see them grow as individuals throughout the week, by developing their self-belief, team skills and resilience.
