Our students recently took part in the Wakehurst lantern workshop which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Wakehurst is a wild botanic garden in the heart of Sussex, home to the Millennium Seed Bank, with over 500 acres of diverse landscapes and plants from across the globe, and we are very lucky to have this on our doorstep.
The framework of the lanterns is made from withies (willow stems) tied with masking tape and the covering from paper mache. The lanterns will be placed in the ground with a light underneath each one as part of the Glow Wild event later in the year.
