Under the new framework, we achieved Strong Standard judgements in Inclusion, Attendance and Behaviour, Leadership and Governance, and Personal Development and Wellbeing – meaning that we are working “above the standard expected.”
Government comparison data places us:
As a specialist SEND school, where every pupil has an EHCP and many join us following significant disruption to their education, these are exceptional achievements.
Ofsted found that we meet pupils’ needs “with forensic precision”, that many pupils make “remarkable improvements” in their behaviour, and that our young people develop a strong sense of belonging and learn to flourish “academically, socially and emotionally.”
Our outdoor learning and equine provision was also specifically recognised for developing reflection, resilience, self-awareness, empathy and teamwork.
Perhaps the line that sums up Philpots Manor School best:
An achievement that belongs to our pupils, staff, families and whole school community – and one we are incredibly proud of.
